Shri R.K. Agrawal is CMD of WAPCOS and NPCC (a subsidiary of WAPCOS Ltd.), Government of India Enterprises under Ministry of Jal Shakti.
Shri Pankaj Kapoor is the Director (Finance) of WAPCOS Limited. He is a qualified Cost Accountant and Company Secretary. He is also a Fellow Member of the Institution of Cost Accountants of India. Mr. Kapoor has more than 24 years of rich experience and has been handling various matters concerning Corporate Finance, Working Capital Management, Cost & Budgetary Control, Institutional Finance, Accounts, Taxation, Audit, Overseas Projects Etc.
Shri Anupam Mishra is working with WAPCOS Limited as Director (Commercial & HRD). Mr. Mishra has done his Bachelors in Civil Engineering from Delhi College of Engineering and Masters in Business Administration from Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi. Mr. Mishra has over three decades of rich and varied experience to undertake greenfield & brownfield projects from Concept to Commissioning including Planning, Preparation of Technical and Financial proposals, Surveys and Investigations, Design, Cost Engineering, preparation of DPR(s), Tender Engineering, Contract & Financial Management, Construction Supervision, Monitoring & Evaluation and Project Implementation/ Construction Supervision of projects in the fields of Water Resources, Power and Infrastructure in India and more than 45 countries of Asia, Africa, Oceania, North, Central & South America.
Along with Director (Commercial & HRD) at WAPCOS, Mr. Mishra is also the Head of Official Language Implementation Committee and has ensured the Government of India mission of making Hindi as official language was implemented in WAPCOS.
Shri Subodh Yadav has been posted and joined as Joint Secretary to the Government in the Ministry of Jal Shakti, Department of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation, Government of India, New Delhi with effect from 10th February 2020. He belongs to the Indian Administrative Service of Karnataka Cadre: 1999.
He has served in various Departments / Organisations in the State Government of Karnataka, India in different capacities. He has wide experience in district administration & panchayati raj / local-self Government. He has worked in various sectors like Health and Family Welfare, Education, Municipal Administration & urban development, Agriculture, Finance / Commercial Taxes & Enforcement. For the outstanding services rendered by him, Shri Subodh Yadav has been awarded Prime Minister Award for Excellence in Public Administration for the initiative ‘Transformation of Commercial Tax Regime in Karnataka’ by Union of India.
In his current charge in the Ministry of Jal Shakti, Department of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation, Government of India, Shri Subodh Yadav is responsible to look after the ground water sector, external assistance & international cooperation, Ataj Bhujal Yojana, National Hydrology Project, National Project Monitoring Unit and allied subject matters. He knows English, Hindi and Kannada languages.
Shri Subodh Yadav is a domicile of the State of Uttar Pradesh. His educational qualifications are M. Tech. (Industrial Engineering) from IIT, Delhi; B.E. from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee; Masters of Arts (International Development Policy) from Duke University, USA; and Masters of Arts (Economics), Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi.
Shri Abhay Thakur was born in September 1969. An engineering post graduate, he worked with Hindustan Lever Ltd. briefly before joining the Indian Foreign Service in 1992.
He has served in various capacities in the Indian Missions abroad in Moscow (1992-94 & 2005-08), London (1998-2001), Tel Aviv (2001-2005), Ho Chi Minh City (2010-13) and as High Commissioner of India to Mauritius (2016-19) and High Commissioner of India to Nigeria with concurrent accreditation to Benin, Chad and ECOWAS Commission (2019-2021). At the Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi, he worked as Director in External Affairs Minister’s Office (2008-10) and also as Joint Secretary (North) (2013-16). He assumed charge as Additional Secretary (Economic Relations) in December 2021.
He is married to Dr. (Mrs.) Surabhi Thakur and they have a son and a daughter.
An alumnus of the Lady Shriram College (BA Eco Hons: 1975-78) and the Delhi School of Economics (Masters in Economics: 1978-80), Ms Preeti Madan joined the Indian Economic Service in 1981 and served for 37 years in increasing positions of responsibility in State/UT Governments and the Central Government. She acquired a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (1977-99) from Concordia University (Montreal, Canada) during the course of her career.
Besides holding various cadre posts of the Indian Economic Service, she served on depuation basis, as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Textiles; Director in the Department of Economic Affairs; Joint Secretary in the Ministeries of Woman and Child Development and Minority Affairs; and as Member Secretary ofthe National Commission for Women (Sept 2015- Dec 2016)at Additional Secretary level. She also served as a Chief Finance Officer in the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), during the period when first five similar institutions were being established across the country.
Ms Madan was involved in formulation and implementation of policy relating to Infrastructure(Department of Economic Affairs)and Industrial Promotion (DIPP).During her tenure as Director in the Department of Economic Affairs, she was also involved in bilateral and multilateral negotiations in the Financial Services sector.
She superannuated from the Government serviceat the post of Principal Economic Adviser, Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion, where she dealt with issues relating to industrial policy, including fiscal and investment matters. During theis period Ms Madan co-chaired the Task Force on Make in India and Transfer of Technology for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail Project (MAHSR).
Shri Anil Kumar Trigunayat (Ex. Ambassador) served in Indian Missions in Cote d’Ivoire, Bangladesh, Mongolia, USA, Russia, Sweden, Nigeria, Libya and Jordan. In the Ministry of External Affairs he worked in the Economic, West Asia & North Africa and Consular Divisions and was Joint Secretary for the Gulf & Haj Divisions.
Prior to superannuation in May 2016, he served as Ambassador of India to Jordan, Libya & Malta (2012-16). He also served as Deputy Chief of Mission in the rank of Ambassador in Russia.
He is a post Graduate in Physics from the Kumaon University and studied Russian History & Culture at the Jawaharlal Nehru University. As a visiting fellow he conducted research work on “WTO and Regional Trading Blocs” at the Oxford University.
Securing national interests of India in conflict zones and Economic Diplomacy have been his areas of interest. Developments in West Asia, Africa and Russia hold his special attention.
Currently, apart from contributing articles and media commentaries on foreign policy issues, he is the President of MIICCIA Chamber of Commerce and Atmanirbhar Global Chamber of Commerce & Industry among others. He is also Adviser International at the National Cooperatives Development Corporation. He is associated with several Think Tanks including a Distinguished Fellow at the Vivekananda International Foundation apart from contributing to interfaith harmony, dialogue and Peace.
Shri Jasbir Singh Thakur is a diploma holder in Yoga Studies (1995) and a Law Graduate (1998) from Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla. He has rich experience and specialization in the area of Law and handling legal matters. He practiced as an Advocate in the District Court of Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh from the year 1998 to 2001 and onwards practicing in Sub-Divisional Court of Barsar, Himachal Pradesh.
Shri Lakhan Lal Sahu is an alumnus of the D.P. Vipra College, Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh (Masters in Hindi Literature) and also a Law Graduate. He is an advocate and agriculturist since 1999. He served as Secretary Bar Association of District Mungeli. He was Member of Zila Panchayat, Bilaspur from 2005 to 2010. He was a Member of Parliament from Bilaspur Lok Sabha C.G. from 2014 to 2019. During his tenure as Lok Sabha Member, he was a Member of many committees like Standing Committee on Railway Ministry, Member of Consultative Committee in Ministry of Coal, Members in the Parliament Committee for Local Area Development Scheme (MPLADS) and Member in the Hindi Committee in the Ministry of Textiles wherein he actively participated and played dynamic role in these committees. Mr. Sahu is continuously working for the upliftment of the backward societies and for Development of rural areas in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh.
Shri Partha Sarathi Ghosh is a Commerce Graduate from North Bengal University. He has more than 20 years of experience in the area of Social organization including 15 years’ Experience in the Hotel business and 5 years’ experience in the Education Institutional Administration.
Shri A.N.N. Prasad holds a B.E.(Civil) degree from University of Mysore and has done M.Tech. (Rock Mechanics) from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi. He is a Member of Indian Society for Rock Mechanics and Tunneling Technology, Member of Indian Society for Construction Materials and Structures, Member of Indian Water Resources Society and Member of Indian Geo-technical Society (Delhi Chapter). He has over 30 years of rich and varied experience in Project Implementation, Construction, Supervision, Tender Engineering, Cost Engineering, Dam Engineering, Survey & Investigations, Preparation of DPR’s of Infrastructure and Hydro Electric Projects in India, Bhutan and Afghanistan. During his tenure with the company he was associated with many prestigious works. Shri Prasad lead the construction team of Salma Dam Project in Afghanistan and successful Commissioned the project under most challenging condition. The dam was inaugurated jointly by Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi and Hon’ble President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Mr. Mohammad Ashraf Ghani.
Dr. Aman Sharma holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Master‘s Degree in Environmental Engineering and is a doctorate from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi in Environmental Engineering. He has more than 27 years of experience in conducting Environmental Studies for Hydropower, Irrigation, Ports & Harbour, Mines and Construction projects, Design of Sewage Treatment Plants, Sewerage Networks, Effluent Treatment Plants, Solid Waste Management, etc.
Sh. Shambu Azad has more than 25 years of experience in the field of Water Resources, Power and Infrastructure development in different capacities in WAPCOS itself. Out of 25 years of experience, for nearly last 15 years, was also associated with business development activities, which is key to success of any commercial organization.
Apart from business development activities, have technical experience of working in more than 100 projects related to Water Resources, Power and Infrastructure development right from Concept to Commissioning stage of the project involving planning, investigation, preparation of Prefeasibility/feasibility reports, detailed project reports, execution, operation and maintenance and management of water resources, irrigation and drainage projects in India and abroad. To be more specific, he has specialization in Water Resources planning, hydrological analysis, irrigation planning, hydrological modelling, ground water modelling, river basin planning and management, irrigation and drainage system design and drawings, flood forecasting, reservoir planning, dam break studies, hydropower planning and design, reservoir simulation studies and other computer aided simulation and design related to water and power sector.
Shri Praveen Kumar holds the degree in B-Tech (Civil) from I.I.T. Delhi and also has MBA Degree in Project Management. He is a member of Indian Society for Rock Mechanics and Tunnelling Technology (ISRMTT). He has many years experience in WAPCOS (India & abroad) since 1990. The unit under him has been awarded more than 380 projects including in Infrastructure, GIS, River interlinking, coastal area management, Irrigation, Flood modeling & management, Water Supply, Sewerage etc. with many acknowledgements & appreciations from several clients. His motto is: To Work for People is To Work for God.
Dr. R.P. Dubey, who holds Ph.D. (Civil Engineering), Doctor of Marine Science, MBA (HR) & PG (Dip) in Financial Management, is Chief Executive Director (Ports, Harbours & Inland Waterways), WAPCOS LIMITED having more than 28 years of experience in the fields of Port Planning, Harbour Engineering, Water Resources, Roads, Water Supply and Drainage etc. comprising, pre-investment reports, feasibility reports, detailed engineering, tender documents, design, supervision and execution of civil works and Management of Multi-disciplinary projects. He is Fellow/Member of several Engineering Professional Bodies of India/abroad including ASCE, IMarEST, National Maritime Foundation, IMEI etc. Awarded with leading Professional of the World Award in Coastal Engineering and nominee for the Global Queen Elizabeth Prize for Engineering Innovation – 2013 & 2015. He is recipient of Bharat Jyoti Award and Bharat Ratna Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam Award for Excellence and Meritorious Contribution. He is accredited as Chartered Engineer (India) and Professional Engineer (US). He is Honorary Visiting Professor at IIEST, Shibpur (An Institute of National Importance). Also, he is Guide/Examiner of Ph.D scholars at NIT/IIT.
